All the kids were extremely proud of their day and enjoyed the extra play time afterwards with their buds.
Kendan, Cavenaugh, and Reghan shined. And some extra dancing afterwards.
Friday night was a night to remember for the kids with a massive sleepover for all. Heath had his crew, Preston, Blane, and Derek stay over. Ashlyn had Mila ran around all night, and Reghan and Mariah kept to themselves.
The boys made it up to the early morning hours.
And mostly woke up around the same time.
Except for these two.
The backyard looked like the beginning of a revolution.
With some morning bouncing before breakfast.
Pancakes abound.
Later in the day Heath and Eli relaxed in the Orbeez foot spa.
Saturday afternoon was Heath's advancement ceremony for Scouts to move up, Heath graduated from a Wolf to a Bear this year. The boys who finally had enough miles logged to receive their hiking sticks admired them on display.
Ashlyn found a friend of hers and those two were inseparable for most of the afternoon.
The boys couldn't wait to dig into their new handbook to find the section on whittling wood which they get to do next year.
The ceremony consisted of announcing each boy who logged miles and the ones that were higher than 10 miles received their stick. He had a proud 23.5 miles earned before he got his stick. After received they cross sticks to make a tunnel and the boys run through it.
Heath had was quite determined during his run. If you don't see the video below, click on the following link. Heath receives his Hiking Stick - June '18
And didn't let go of it for most of the reminder of the evening.
Very happy scouts.
We can't have a ceremony without a fire and skits. The Den that went before our's stole the skit the boys were going to do so they had to come up with an impromptu one really quick.

It's been fantastic to be part of such a great Pack and we'll certainly miss it.
Sunday morning came far to quickly but once our sleepy kids wiped the sleep from their eyes they took off for the Angels Game. Three rows behind the Angels dugout gave them awesome views with the hope of catching a fly ball.
With bellies full of hotdogs and peanuts, dipping dots and sun, the weekend wound down just in time for their last week of school.
