Day two took us to the magestic mountains of Zion. None of us were prepared for the beauty of the formations and weaping mountains.
Along the half hour drive through the rock formations to the town at the bottom we drove through a couple of tunnels. One of them cut through an extremely large mountain where the kids got to yell out the window into the darkness with other cars doing the same around them. Every now and again there was a cutout to allow light in and see out. Looking closely at the picture below is an example for one of he cut outs in the side of mountain into the tunnel.

We found Nutty, the squirrel, who tried to get into one of our backpacks during a break. Later on, his evil brother, Nut Nut, ate a hole through the canvas to get to some trail mix within a couple minutes while our backs were turned.

Towards The Narrows the water calmed and drew us in. It was cool and refreshing while also humbling that the crisp river we were standing in created this beautiful place.
