Once again, this years open house was fantastic.  The kids had been working so prepare for it and it showed.  Even before we made it into the school the kids began to run into their friends.

Heath's room was first up.
The gang was all there.
Ashlyn was proud of her creations as well.  Her room had an additional surprise of finding all the moths hidden throughout.  There were 23 in total.
Their Flat Stanley's were marked on an interactive map showing where in the world they were sent and the pictures that came back with them along with a brief history of the location that they did research on.
Reghan's classroom was upstairs.  Outside her room in the Pod were poems and pictures focusing their favorite body part.
Proudly displayed inside was their class Constitution which they wrote together the first week of the school year and signed it.  Above it was her animal they were all tasked to create using Latin and Greek roots to form a new type of creature.
First day of the school pictures right next to one of her besties.
A poor lizard tried to get away from the kids.  It may have lost it's tail but it made it free with it's life.
Have to get in the shoulder time before she gets too big.
Heath's end of year play was a smashing success.  They sang for a solid half hour and he didn't miss a word.

Ashlyn's was the next day.  Similarly her's was almost thirty minutes as well.  The girl loves to sing nonstop around the house so getting to sing this long, and in front of a crowd, made her day.

She also got to be one of the Samba dancers during one of the songs.

We got to meet her, just like Heath, outside afterwards and who did we bump into; but Reghan and Mariah out for recess.  (nice little surprise.)
This girl never passes up an opportunity to pose for the camera.
Or with her friends.
Auntie Amy came in for one last visit and we were thrilled to have her.
She happened to be here the night of the Cub Scouts SOLO viewing and what did we see but a couple of look a-likes.
Heath wasted no time covering her upon the sofa.
But not before he introduced her to one of his current favorite games where they can play each other remotely
A spa night rounded out one of the days with a manicure and massage.
All to get her ready for a hefty hike the next day.
Our crazy crew.
They sure are happy to be with their Auntie.
Cookies in the kitchen.
And impatiently waiting to get into the pool.
Poor Winston was attacked in the pool by the older kids trying to take him down while the younger one's looked on.
And poor Ted.  What can we say to this?  But did a wall of cardboard boxes stop him from trying to get in?  Heck no!
A quick trip to the beach rounded out the weekend.  As we waited for our table for brunch our kids befriended a group of other children and began to dig things up from the sand.  Things such as broken signs, rocks, even an old receipt.  And what did they do with these you ask?  Well...solicit passerby's to purchase them.  Surprisingly our mini entrepeneurs sold quite a few of the trinkets.
It was nice to have her out and to have a live in babysitter for a couple of days while we were able to run some overdue errands. But it also gave the kids time to show her their "super secret" hiding place they they haven't shown us yet knowing that we'll tell them they aren't allowed to go there. We may get to see it the day before we leave but we're not holding our breathe.
