The final days of summer were chock full of activities. Some last trips to the pool warranted a visit to the concession stand. 

We’ve taken full advantage of being closer to family for babysitting. 

And quiet time with a good book curled up on the couch. 

Ashlyn began gymnastics and has found her calling with a big winded thumbs up. 

There was a “New Family Orientation” at our new elementary school hosted by the principal. Afterwards we got a tour of the school by one of the 5th graders from his perspective. We walked away feeling very welcome to the school. 

Afterwards we made our way to Peck Farm to learn about some of our new areas history and explore the grounds. Although we began the visit dry, we certainly didn’t leave that way.  The following day we ventured into the city to pick Auntie Amy up and go to the Museum of Science Industry.  But first, a stop at the infamous Billy Goat Tavern. A right of passage in their new home. 

The museum had a “Magic or Pixar” exhibit which was very hands on and kid-centric. 

The following day we had early hair appointments with Auntie Jewels at her salon for back to school haircuts. Now to rest up and get ready for the first day of school.
