We took a trip to Snow Lake where we knew right away that it would be a fun time when the neighborhood goose came to welcome us to the house.
It didn’t take long for the kids to take to the water in their floats.
There was a mean game of charades the first night while Grana and Grandpa enjoyed the serene sunset.
It was recently their birthdays and the boys found the perfect birthday cake to surprise them with. If you don’t see the video below, click on the following link.
Grana & Grandpa’s lake birthday

Reghan’s gift to Grana was a relaxing neck massage.
The boys devoured breakfast each morning quickly before running off for the day.
It was a bit chilly and rainy but that didn’t stop us from exploring the nearby state park.
And discovering the local beach where they found shells, cool rocks, and created their very own Alcatraz out of sand.
Rainy night s’mores.
And mornings full of kayaking brought new adventures just around the corner. Ashlyn made sure to give Charlie the full run down on how to sit and hold on properly to Big Mable.
The kids couldn’t wait till Grandpa arrived with the boat for the day.
They each got their turn to drive it.
And check out the views.
More driving and even more horn honking.
Ashlyn ensured Grana got out there with her.
Grandpa treated us all to ice cream the last night and I think we took over almost the entire place.
As sad as it was to leave, we had a furry little chipmunk visitor come to say goodbye to us on the final day. Although it kept a low profile under the ottoman, the kids found it pretty quickly and was a good omen for all the road trips coming up while we all said our goodbyes to a fun week full of family.
