Uncle Steve worked on getting Colin hooked on college ball by showing key replays of his Auburn Tigers. 
Ashlyn and Charlie were inseparable throughout the week. 
Grana took Ashlyn and Charlie on a small hike while we went with the older two on a longer 6 mile hike through the mountains and had a great time. 
There was one spot a couple miles in, through water and tricky paths which made us pause and the kids took it as a good place to rest. 
We had an early breakfast then off went to Ian and Colin’s school for some Stone Soup. 
We all had a bowl, or more like a sip, which was more than enough. 
After touring his school and running around they took a break on one of the obstacle course challenges. Later that night, after dinner, we went to the arboretum for the winter lights show. They did an amazing job and shockingly we were able to keep up with all the kids running around. There were too many lights show but was magical. 
The craft portion was a good way to warm up and catch a, kind of creepy, animatronic show that the kids were mesmerized by. 
On Thanksgiving Grana and Reghan took on a new recipe that was scrumptious. 
In all the commotion Grandpa still managed to catch a snooze. 
And no, no one caught on fire and nothing burnt down. 
Food comas soon to come. 
Love these two. 
They continued to work on their “pit” and fort. Both weren’t complete when we left but there’s always next time. 
A little rummaging around through Gramps’ stuff unearthed some new treasures. 
Our last night the boys embraced the deep frier once more. The dark night rain didn’t stop them for a final go at frying up some Twinkies, Oreos, and cheesecake for a late night sugar rush to round a fantastic week.
