Steven and the kids went camping with Heath's Pack in Malibu this weekend.  They found a premier spot with the ocean in the background and their friends nearby.

The weather was perfect for a hike.

A visit to the rocky beach brought new sights for the kids.  Heath even found some lime colored sea glass.

With nights filled with huge bomb fires, stories, and games.

While the kids were roughing it with their dad, I was having adult time in Chicago with friends and family.

The last minute adjustments to costumes occurred right before his Pack's yearly costume party and indoor carnival.  Victoria showcased her sewing skills while she tailored Ashlyn's Candy Princess Costume.

Ashlyn quickly ran into some friends from school and then jumped into all the game lines.

Heath did pretty darned good with skeet ball.

And Reghan displayed how to do it right at the target range.

Heath's Den was in charge of a skit for the night's entertainment.  They pulled it off successfully and was quite funny.

Another night of dress up was called for at our yearly fall festival.  As soon as we walked through the school's gates the kids scattered.

It didn't take them long to find their friends.  Heath and Preston were inseparable.

 Ashlyn and Mila had a small dance off.

 And it was impossible to get a good picture of Reghan, Kendan, Cav, and their other friends.

Ashlyn continued her dancing on the dance floor and stayed there all night.  We're surely ready for Halloween to come knockin' on our door.
