Auntie Amy flew in for a weekend visit. We had a few unexpected twists to the weekend but still managed to squeeze some things in.  She came along with me to work and since we were downtown, and nearby, we stopped in quickly at the QUE Skyspace LA.
 A quick dance.
Then a very, lackluster, overrated, ride down the glass slide 70 stories above the city.
First up at home was to get snack bags ready for the soccer games the following day and Ashlyn was a good assistant.

After a day of soccer, Amy had some work to do but it didn't stop the kids from sticking close.  Ashlyn, "Auntie Amy, do you want to hear me sing?"  Amy, "Not right now, I'm working but later." Ashlyn, "That's ok, you have ears."  As she sits down and starts reciting her lines from her upcoming play...and didn't stop reciting them all weekend long.
It's been gorgeous weather so we also squeezed in a hike at Vasquez Rocks.
A first for all of us along the way was our first sighting of a wild Tarantula.  It was big and moving slow so we opted another route to hike around it.

Close to the top.
Auntie Amy enjoying the view.  We're happy to have her here and sad to see her leave but we'll see her soon.
