The exercise of the opening of gifts this Christmas lasted a full 2 days thanks to the generosity of our family and the age of the kids. After almost each present was unwrapped we had to play with it, then, when they remembered there were more, it was time to unwrap another gift only to stop and play with some more. This made the unwrapping of the gifts last the entire day and left the big one for the 26th. Even though we tried to explain who each present was from, in Heath and Reghan's mind, Santa brought them all. All 3 were waiting with baited breath to run downstairs to see what he brought.
The stockings were first and after breakfast they started to rip into the the presents.
When there were boxes to dismantle, Heath was there with his new electric drill to help.
They spent the entire day in their pj's and quite a while in their new Firemen gear.
Here are the firefighters heading outside to extinguish all of the fires in the back yard. Come summer they're going to love the back packs. They can be filled with water and the hose sprays up to 30'. Watch out!!
Ashlyn had no trouble getting into the spirit with her new toys.
Before dinner there was even time to excavate some dinosaurs and had their new dino friends there to help them with the task.
The night closed with a group bath with one of their new toys.
And a sister and brother hug in their matching pj's.
The next morning brought Ashlyn's 'first haircut' by her big sis Reghan.
Some fun with the Shark - Air Swimmer. (notice Reghan ducking for fear of the Shark eating her)
Then the mack-daddy present...no explanation required.
