Even though his LaCrosse season has been cancelled, Heath's still keeping up his conditioning.  He seems to think working out barefoot adds to his strength and at this point, with days and days of rain, as long as he's doing something active, we're all good with his approach.
We are missing our friends and family and love to see pictures of them.  Looks like Ian and Colin snuck in a soda while sitting with Grandpa.
The kids are getting rougher and rougher on the trampoline but no broken bones yet, just a few bruises from bumping into each other...and me.
There's been more socially distanced birthday parties as the weather's begun to warm up.  The kids are getting more at ease with understanding how far to remain from their friends.  Albeit difficult, still good.
Our cooking competitions continue.  This time it was the battle of the 5 minute cake in a mug.  Coincidentally both teams created their take on the classic s'more.  Although it was a tight competition, Heath and I took the prize with our deconstructed s'more with roasted marshmallows and emulated campfire fire.
Each year our elementary school has a 4th grade fund raiser in the Spring to go towards the future 5th grade Outdoor Education program.  Heath was one of the 4th graders who were in charge of "ducking" a series of houses over the course of 3 weeks.  It was a welcome break during this time and were were caught a few times but each time the kids were thrilled to have their house ducked.
We've begun to embrace our new found labor force who helped quite a bit with the pile of mulch that was dumped on our driveway.
We hosted a properly distanced Mother's Day in our garage because it was so cold.  One of the many games of the day entailed and epic balloon shooting range. After a few mockups we figured out the best way to attach needles to the end of Nerf bullets to shoot at balloons in the garage.  Some were filled with confetti and some not and as they popped we tied more to the ribbons.  It was actually more difficult than we thought it would be and a whole lot of fun!
Auntie Jen Jen worked with Ashlyn on proper clothes folding techniques before she went home
Her first week home we kept up with her preparation of taco Tuesday and Reghan took over her laundry basket, not to mention the chips too.
But before Auntie Jen Jen left, we needed to complete something very important.  Steven's grandfather, Gramps, built a number of really nice pieces of furniture.  Each time he made something of significance he would mark the underside and our new coffee table is no exception.  Only instead of Gramps marking it, it was Steven.  All of us who worked on it signed our names to be forever engraved in it along with some of Gramps' spirit.
