Grana and Grandpa came in right after Christmas which prompted our first Christmas 2.0. Grana was sneaky as could be and when the kids woke up she had all sorts of gifts under the tree. They hit the mark with every single one of them. The kids would’ve been happy with just them here but the addition of the presents added an extra flair.
This family loves a project and we brought it this weekend. We laughed because they came all the way up to see us only for us to throw them in the basement to work. But within two days we were able to transform a dark, oddly painted, portion of be basement to a bright and useful gym and glam area.
These three had no shortage of advice to offer.  When Ashlyn and Anna grew tired of observing they moved onto the makeup station.
We did, however allow Grandpa to sit on occasion.
Nonnie, Poppie, Amy, and Julia came up to visit and we took off to the local trampoline park with Grana and Nonnie for the afternoon before a great family dinner.

As always it was short, especially with the project thrown in there but we didn’t scare them away. We’re already talking about the next project on the horizon. The day they left to go back home was New Year’s Eve and we trekked down to Nonnie and Poppies for the night to drop the kids off.  Heath and Reghan started to learn Poker that night and both of them took to it quickly. Heath had control of the bank and Reghan soon was making her own calls.
The first few days of the new year have been on the warm side so outside the they were sent.  What did they dig up?  Their Mento / soda shooter and just HAD to taste the goods.  In reflection, our insane year has come to a close and unrolled as good as we could’ve ever expected.  We ended it surrounded by family and began the new year surrounded by family and know this year, a new year with new beginnings, will be just as good.
