Somehow we timed it to where we arrived at the final walk thru ten minutes before. The kids love the house and were very proud of the front door.
Closing was the next day so we spent the night at Nonnie and Poppie’s where we ran around catching fire flies and snuggling with Pretzel.
Unfortunately our truck didn’t arrive as scheduled. Although we didn’t have anything to move in, we took full advantage of the time to clean and prep the house. Plenty of picnics were had on our floor over the course of a few days.
Not only picnics but serious dust mop games.

Finally the truck arrived and we couldn’t be happier.
While we were unpacking, Auntie Amy took them to the nearby pool for the first of many visits.
Luna has visited regularly and the kids have adopted her as their own.
With the new house comes new chores. They asked for it and it’s beginning. They’re learning to cut the grass amongst other things.
We are getting out in between unpacking and we happy to find a large chessboard not far from us. We weren’t able to finish the game but will next time.
