Nonnie and Poppie came out right after Christmas for a couple day adventure at Disneyland.  Upon arriving, right away, a carriage pulled up to offer us a ride to Cinderella's castle.  On we went to enjoy two insanely busy but magical days.
As soon as we got off the carriage, Mary Poppins was waiting for us with a big hug.
A little girl couldn't wait to explore Sleeping Beauty's castle.
The smell of popcorn permeated everywhere and we broke down pretty quickly.  While Poppie was getting a bucket Nonnie and Reghan waited patiently.
A right of passage is to ride It's a Small World and although we think it's a tad bit creepy, the kids were drawn completely into it.

Teacups are also a must.  Poppie did his best to make Nonnie and I sick but didn't succeed.
A ride on the submarine to find Nemo.
Nonnie and Poppie took over the Buzz Lightyear ride.
One thing for certain is that they all want to live in Tarzan's tree house.
With statues all over they really enjoyed being able to identify each of the characters.
Lot's and lot's and lot's of cotton candy.
Nighttime brought about the various rides lighting up with the magic of light shows and snow on a warm December night.
With dinner the first night being joined by our newfound friends, the Porgs.
The next morning while we waited to enter California Adventure Heath and Ashlyn decided to see who could pick each other up the highest.  Needless to say I won.
Big wishes were made while tossing coins int into the Cars ride.
With more celebrity sightings.
One hiccup was the mistake of all mistakes, allowing the kids to go onto the Guardians of the Galaxy ride.  It all started with smiles but ended in massive tears and trauma for quite a while.
Impromptu shows.
Followed by the lunch to end all lunches.  Ariel's birthday lunch with her princess friends.  First up was being able to meet Ariel.
Then by sing and dance the princesses were introduced one by one.
Oh was it an exciting lunch.  Ashlyn was relentlessness in getting every princess's autograph.
Belle even sent a special message to Auntie Jen Jen.  If you don't see the video below, click on the following link.  Auntie Jen Jen's message from Belle - Dec 17
The piece de resistance was when Cinderella came by.  Her happiness just radiates through the photo.
Wrapping up with the beautiful Princess Tiana.
After the lunch, Ashlyn was inspired to work on her princess poses.
The last night of the ride was the wobbly rollercoaster
With a farewell to Disneyland but not before stopping by the massive Disney Store.
Their Aunties knew they were going to be going to Disneyland so instead of gifts, they sent gift cards to use at their discretion.  They used them to play games at the park, Ashlyn treated us to a pretzel, but they were holding out for the last night.  After quite a long time in the store, and much consideration, they all settled on the perfect items with no budget from mom and dad.
The next morning, as soon as they woke up they opened their boxes and played all day with them.  Christmas just kept on coming.
Still, nothing can beat curling up in Nonnie's arms with a new book.
Saturday night the excitement continued.  The kids had a sleepover with some fiends and when one of them came in, a bird flew in the house.  Even though Pretzel's always been in indoor cat she wasted no time jumping on the bird.  Of course she took it directly under the coffee table on the white rug but we eventually got it.
New years eve Ashlyn rang in 2018 like a champ.
It was such an fantastic couple of days.  We're so happy that Nonnie and Poppie were able to come out and take part in an enchanting couple of days.
