Christmas Eve we mixed it up a little.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we took advantage of it and went on a hike to the top of Temescal Canyon to enjoy the views.

Afterwards we enjoyed a late lunch on the beach with a quick walk by the water before heading home with a Christmas Eve feather to our tree.

Later that night Reghan placed our little baby Jesus into the nativity set to recognize his birth the following day.
One of our traditions is that the kids get to open one gift from their brother and sister.  This year Reghan insisted that I open one from her that she specifically wrapped and decorated for me.
A big sleepover in Heath's room waiting for Santa to arrive.
The morning of the kids went through their yearly waiting game on the top of stairs before we let them come downstairs.  However, before they came to wake us up we peaked at all three of the downstairs whisper wildly, then run back upstairs to pretend they just woke up.  They're getting sneaky.
And then the unveiling.  If you don't see the video below, click on the following link.  Christmas Morning - Dec '17
It was a great Christmas morning.
With many breaks to play with their toys in between everything.
Family and friends were all too generous and they're grateful for everything they received.
Even Pretzel received a few gifts.
As always, the carnage of the day took over the house and somehow they were able to keep everything safe and ready to be played with a moments notice.
There were a few gifts that really took over this year.  The big one is their trip to Disneyland with Nonnie and Poppie the week of.  It will be Christmas they'll never forget.
