Our week took a spin when Ashlyn's ankle got twisted which brought us to the urgent care.  Luckily nothing was broken but she was in a splint until it was strong enough to put weight on it.
Later that week was the school's Father/Son Catapult event where they had teams and made catapults from various materials and launched tennis balls in competition.
With a collection of pvc pipes and fitings and rubber bands they made quite the impressive little launcher.
Friday morning I was showered with gifts and treats in Ashlyn's class at their Mothers Day Tea party.  They sang songs, served tea and cookies, made us hats and corsages to go with our handmade shirts they designed, and even gave us a hand massage with the lights out.

The cuties sang the sweetest songs.

The kids have been nurturing and growing caterpillars in tiny containers in their classroom and will care for them through all the phases until they become butterflies.  Ashlyn was pointing out her number and name to show me her container.  She looks like a healthy little caterpillar so far.
Later that day the kids went to Reghan's friend's birthday party at Chucky Cheese.  There was mass mayhem after the pinata was broken.

Sunday's weather was beautiful which was perfect for a nice long bike ride.
With a good roll down a steep hill to round out the ride.

It was a couple days of being showered with gifts made from the heart and a day of snuggles and laughs.  I couldn't ask for anything more from the three most precious jewels of my life.
