Two weeks into the school year and we're in full force. Even Steven had his homework which Ashlyn helped with; his fantasy football draft. When he comes in first place again this year, we'll know who the brains are behind the dynasty.
Within a couple of days both Reghan and Heath started to come home with new games that they taught Ashlyn.
A weekend trip to the water park followed by more swim fun at our neighbors house and Ashlyn's bestie, Taylor, rounded off the first weekend of the school year.
Heath had his first Cub Scout meeting!
He's also playing flag football for the first time this year and he had his first practice and received his uniform already. His team is the Vikings this year.
Reghan's soccer team also started up practice. They wasted no time getting in there for some team spirit when they received their jerseys; she's number 11 this year.
As homework, Heath has 20 minutes of reading each night of his choosing so what does he bring along...his Minecraft book that Anne and Brian got him a year ago for his birthday. He's read and studied the book relentlessly but is still learning new tricks for he the game.
Reghan had her last fitting for her braces and spacers.
And Ashlyn brought home Super Snoopy one night from school. After she drew her picture and wrote about their adventures, she snuggled up with him for the rest of the night.
I volunteer on occasion in the kids classrooms and got to see the big Kindergartener at work in one of her stations. The color of the week was Red so all the kids wore red on Friday.

Reghan's teacher, Mrs. Cook uses an app called Class Dojo as one of her communication devices. She's been really good about posting pictures and this one is particularly notable. If you can read the caption below it states that during the spirit assembly the Principal, "wanted to recognize a class that she always sees walking quietly and using the stairs appropriately" and rewarded them with an extra recess.
Heath's friend Ace came along with us to one of Reghan's soccer practices where they played on everything in the park and had some pretty competitive hand ball games.
Followed by a quick bite to eat.
And a girls sleepover. Ashlyn hung with the big girls as long as she could but eventually had to turn in before them.

Prior to breakfast they played an extremely abbreviated version of monopoly, then parted ways.
Little did we know that it wasn't really over. Reghan and Heath ended up staying at her friend Valerie's house where they inflated their blow up water slide. It's been a full first two weeks of school and the weekend isn't even over yet.
