Uncle Chris stopped by for a very very quick visit and the kids didn't leave his side the entire time.  They're certainly looking forward to seeing him daily in the near future.

The same weekend we worked on one of Reghan's reports and I couldn't help but take in the difference in her research methods than mine at her age.  Hours at the library vs hours in front of every electronic device possible.

With Springtime weather comes tending to the plants and the girls decided they were going to paint some of the pots this year and did a great job.

Each year we host Easter at our house and this year it was postponed by a week.  Auntie Amy was the first to arrive and her first night was spent on the floor with multiple blankets wrapped around her while the kids piled toys on her before jumping all over her.  Poor girl.  That is, until Heath realized he could fit under a clothes basket to make the perfect hiding spot.

Next to arrive were Nonnie and Poppie and Reghan wasted not time getting Poppie outside for some one on one time.

Saturday was the monthly observation day at Ashlyn's dance class and she hammed it up for her audience in her Ariel costume. 

Later that afternoon we made some of the food for the next day and we had "cleaners" trailing us most of the afternoon, especially when they tasted the batter for the Lemon Lime Pound cake.

Auntie Jen Jen and Auntie Jewelz arrived next and we immediately began coloring Easter Eggs.  

Then the trial of how does colored vinegar water taste and what does it do to your tongue.  Three brave souls tried it and only two survived.

 

Followed up with fondue fun time for dinner.

While we still celebrated the Easter holiday itself the week prior, we left a note for the Easter bunny asking if he/she could come back the following week and explained why and to our delight the bunny responded they he/she'd be back the next week in glittery fancy script.  So that Sunday morning the kids woke up to fun toys and lots of sugar.

Anxiously awaiting the egg hunt. 

We tried another ghetto sangria that really truely didn't taste very well, then again, what do you expect from a cheap wine in a jug.

Then the water balloons came out.

There's always a nice shady spot for a nap.

And a roll and basking in the sun.

Then the ball came out.  Anne and Brian brought up a large inflatable ball that can be rolled in.  Brian was a champ filling it up and once done, it was so much fun.  

However, we quickly realized that too many kids inside is not a good idea.

Auntie Amy brought out Lava experiments and Reghan and Auntie Jewelz watched it intently as the chemicals worked.

The day ended with our yearly night time egg hunt with glow in the dark eggs and as usual it did not disappoint.  But before we had one more dose of sugar by roasting the sugar coated marshmallow sticks the Easter Bunny left for them in the morning.
