Boy oh boy this year is flying.  Father's day turned out to be a beautiful day that we all soaked up and enjoyed the weather.

Heath and Ashlyn pulled together a feast, along with a new dessert recipe; grilled lemon pound cake and it was scrumptious.
We watched Luna for a few days and while her and Pretzel have a contentious relationship, they are making progress, however, Pretzel does NOT like it when Luna comes into my office when she's here.  She does get the run of the place though.  One of her favorite rooms is the sunroom where she can watch all the neighborhood kids running around outside and also take part in game night with a side of a fresh breeze.
Reghan went to their first bar concert and was beside themselves when they were able to meet the band in the alley behind the bar. On top of that, they received a limited run t-shirt after waiting weeks for it to arrive.
Uncle Jon was in for a weekend and we put him to work.  He also put his life into Reghan's hands for their very first drive after getting their permit.  Where did they drive Dad and Uncle Jon to?  Let's just say it was Reghan's first beer run.
The weekend led up to Chicago's first Nascar street race which was extremely wet and dreary but dried up long enough to make it to the race.  A huge thank you for the amazing Pit Row tickets, best seats in the house with an up close encounter Jeff Gordon.
For the first time since moving we went to watch actual fireworks at the park and at the 11th hour, they canceled them. Maybe we'll have better luck next time.
Closing out the long weekend with some snuggle time.  No matter how big they get, we can still all fit in the bed together.
