The kids have been dreaming of a Hawaiian vacation for most of their lives and it became a reality over spring break this year.

Jet lag took hold the first few days where Heath & Ashlyn was up in the early mornings exploring the resort on the Big Island.

We spent our day there visiting Volcanoes National Park with one of the big surprises was the steam vents that smelled like molasses.  

The weather was quite beautiful for our entire trip.  We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Reghan has quite the vacation look.

Roaming all over we found the trail to the Lava Tubes which wound down a beautiful tropical path leading us to the entry to the team.

Eventually bringing us down to the coast were the ground crackled beneath our feet and got about 10 degrees hotter.

We couldn't have ended the day in a more perfect manner by getting to see Mike and Donna and spend some nice time with them.  Such wonderful people and the kids felt welcomed and at ease.

Although it was a quick visit, our adventures continued with new memories we created with more around the corner.
