We got away for the day on Sunday to the Indiana Dunes.  It's been a really long time since we've felt sand beneath our toes and while it's not the California Coast we still soaked in the sun, wind, and waves.  It was good to get out of town and run around a bit.

The conditions were ideal for flying a kite to soar with the birds.

Over the years we've learned to bring extra clothes to the beach, plus extra water to try, I stress try, to wash out as much sand from their hair and face as possible when driving home.  I wonder why?

Back home the pool continues to get almost daily usage and the pool toys have begun to take over.

Finally, Reghan's been saving up for some time for her own iPad to run her graphics programs through vs on her phone and she finally got enough.  Between chores, extra work she's picked up here and there, and the hoarding of her gift cards it put her over the top.  She set her eye on it and went for it.  She's just shy of the stylus but am sure it won't be long till she has enough for that one too.
