We hosted Easter at our house this year and although it was a new place, many traditions from our California home carried over.  Ashlyn's becoming quite handy in the kitchen and all joined in to color eggs the day before.

The Easter Bunny did not fail this year and brought a lot of outdoor toys to keep them entertained.

Each year the kids plant jelly beans the night before and the bunny's magic grows them into suckers by the next morning.  This year was no different and they were thoughtful enough to plant some for their cousins Wyatt and Avery.  Before they even stepped outside they we checking to see if they grew through the windows.

The weather was perfect to be outside for most of the day.

The food, as always, was delicious and this year Auntie Jewelz brought fish to grill.  While unwrapping the binding, Jon bet Reghan to eat and eyeball which she didn't but he did to everyone's entertained surprise.  (and he kept it down which was even more impressive)

Avery is off to a good start with our household with her toast and love of wine.  What was her reaction to her sip of it, oh yeah, "yum" and went in for more.

Couldn't resist.  It's sometimes hard to believe that our kids were ever this small where this could've been them 10 years ago.

Michael brought his game and took the kids and mom out for a ride.  We can honestly say, they're hooked.

Another tradition brought over is the Easter Pinata.  It may not be a creepy swap meet bunny pinata but Auntie Jen Jen did great getting one and we all had fun with it and will forever remember our California crew as we destroy it.  Love and miss you guys.

Because that wasn't enough we can't forget the birthdays of the week.  Since we're all together so close to Ashlyn's 8th birthday we celebrated it with family later in the and this year we had an addition.  Her cousin Wyatt's birthday is a day behind hers so he got in on the cheers also.

She has a party with a few friends the following weekend so the celebration will continue but it was a fun way to wrap the day up.  From the first ray of sunshine to the last, the day was wonderful and we wish everyone a very happy Easter holiday.
