The leprechauns certainly knew how to make an entrance on Saint Patrick's Day.
Heath gave a good old fashion whoopin' to Emily when her and Robert came in for quick visit. She couldn't get out of there any quicker until Ashlyn swept her up the slope to pick some flowers for our centerpiece that night. Slope + sandals + skirt + not good.
Our school's mother daughter event this year was at the roller rink and was so much fun. Ashlyn and Reghan, along with a few others, decided to stay and wait out the food line and got almost the entire rink to themselves for a few minutes.

And time to catch up with lot's of their friends.
And mom of course.
I think there's a disco ball in our future.
Meanwhile, Ashlyn received her first award at school for Creativity and Reading so when she came home she was greeted with an understated balloon bouquet. (personal reminder, helium balloons are drug around the house for weeks after they get them - so why do we keep getting them?)
Followed by our own pizza creations.
Meanwhile, I went back to Chicago for a quick trip and while there, the kids had a weekend full of play dates, dancing, biking, drawing, birthday parties, and rough cutting for the upcoming Pinewood Derby Race. But I got to see friends and more friends, family, and embark on a random day of adventures with my sisters that landed us eating our way through a Sunday. Good thing we had a solid workout that morning but don't think it was enough to fend off a full day of gluttony.
