Ashlyn's been practicing her dance for her recital for some time now and this past weekend was the big event.  She danced to an updated version of Cinderella's "A dream is a wish your heart makes" and she certainly felt like Cinderella the day of.

Friday night were pictures and dress rehearsal where we learned she was dead center in the line up, the perfect place for the girl who loves to be in the spotlight.

Before we went to watch her rehearse for the for first time, Reghan and Heath were able to peek in on other age groups practicing.

She also had extra time with one of her besties, Noelle, which topped off the night.

 

Saturday kicked off a full weekend of shows, however, because she's in the younger age group, she had only the one performance.  This years show was called Body Language and as always, it did not disappoint.

The full dance isn't shown here but the last couple of seconds is worth it.  Once the crowd begins clapping and the dancers calm, Ashlyn once again illustrates her love of the limelight.  There's no need to identify which one is her as she makes it clear who to look at as the lights began to dim.  If you can't see the video below, click on the following link.  Ashlyn's dance recital - June 16
