What better way to spend a magical Sunday together than a day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.  Although it doesn't officially open for another few weeks, due to Steven's work on it, we were included in a soft opening for the families of those who contributed.  Such a perk.  We don't think the kids fully understood what they were walking into till we were there and they haven't stopped talking about it.
There were magical items and animals everywhere and as soon as they selected their wands, the could begin participating in the wonder as well.

Singing shows with singing frogs.
And roller coaster rides past animated fictitious creatures followed by the bigger and more intense ride in the castle.
Activating the Marauders Map through spells.
And guzzling Butter Beer.
At a certain point we ventured into the rest of the park and once we met beautiful Erin, our day got even better.  Erin works at the Transformers ride and for some reason she took us under her wing.  Escorted us to the front of the line (twice) and took us to the control room for the ride and watched them work it (no picture allowed there) then before parting ways she gave us a large stack of 'front of the line' passes.  She wanted to ensure we were able to ride as many rides as possible before the end of the day.

We literally just walked on to the rest of the rides in the park, including more rounds on the Harry Potter rides.
Ashlyn was amazed by the lovely French woman on stilts.
It was supposed to rain that day but in the morning the clouds cleared and rained the following day.  Someone up there sure made it so our kids could have a wonderful day.
