The Cobra attacks Sophia the First, but no fear, Iron Man Iron Patriot will save her.  Halloween was another success but the day didn't start at trick or treating, it began first thing at the elementary school's parade.

Our dear friend's Emily and Robert were in town and spent the day with us. The morning began with the annual parade followed by crafts in the classroom.

The parade starts from Pre-school and moves it way up to 6th grade in order.  There were some really ingenious costumes but call me biased, I thought ours stood out.

If you can't see the video of part of the parade below, click on the following link.  Halloween Parade '14
After a quick switch out of their costumes, we made our way to the classrooms to help with Halloween crafts.  Heath was elated to sit by me at the Ghoul Bingo table.  We should take this boy to Vegas, he won 4 out of 4 hands and no, it wasn't rigged.
The highlight of the TK room was watching Emily do crafts with over 20 five year old's.  Heath sat down as close to her as possible and in classic Emily fashion, I received many "looks" and she even shared her ever lovely satire with one of the students which we'll keep out of this post, but it was a good one, before moving on quickly to Reghan's class.

The night started out with the kids being leery of walking up to many of the doors but the fear slowly faded as they became used to the decor, however, even at the end, there were houses they wouldn't walk up to.  Emily and I walked with the kids while Robert and Steven stayed at the house to hand out candy.
We saw many friends along the way, and even as we ended the night at our house, the kids still wouldn't walk across the street.  They would watch it from our house, but physically not walk over there, not even with Optimus prime.

Sophia and Heath helped hand out candy towards the end while they sorted through theirs.  And Sophia snuck the occasional sip from mommy's adult beverage.

No rest in this house.  Bright and early the next morning we were out the door for a very very muddy soccer game.

Followed by a trip to the book store.  Note the shoes; Ashlyn has taken to wearing her Sophia the First shoes everywhere she goes.  Even as she sits on the counter while we set up the terarium to grow some coral, a gift from Emily and Robert.  It was hours and hours of fun for them constantly checking the state of them.  They're still slowly growing so we haven't cleaned them up yet.

The older 2 ran off to find an actual piece of Coral to compare their growing pieces to. They determined it was the same type.  Smart, those two are.
