Between the multiple households taking part and the other houses on the street having parties as well, it was a full on celebration. The bounce house/water slide was a massive hit with the kids and teenagers alike. However, of all the grass available, Reghan insisted on laying on the sidewalk, go figure.
Once night fell the fireworks came out before the show.
After the fireworks, we wrapped up the night in a neighbors game room with him showing off his latest "toy". Yes, it's a real one that you might find in a bar and perfectly calibrated. Amusingly the person pictured below blew the lowest of everyone there while the kids had fun in the rest of the room. The next morning was lazily spent in our pj's, watching movies, and building indoor ramps until the time came to get dressed to go to the movies and they were thrilled to see the poster for the TMNT, a favorite in our house.
The rest of the weekend was spent catching lizards and having yard races, going to the pool, and eating lots and lots of ice cream.
Along with many night time books and sleepovers.
In other news, the kids are having so much fun at camp with multiple field trips and activities a week, they're certainly staying busy.
Reghan has moved up to learning freestyle in swim lessons.
And we're always in the market to sell some kiddies to the highest bidder.
Which let us adults spend the evening cruising around Newport harbor. Out of all the food in LA, what's the one thing you can't get in NY? Why In-n-Out of course.
Yes, you can get wine there, but not in such a flair like manner while stuck to the boat's cup holder. Now that's class.
And believe it or not but Robert and Steven didn't run us into one single thing. We know we'll see you soon but you'll be missed.
