They couldn't wait to pull out all of games and poor Grana got stuck with the complicated origami..
While Grandpa got easy Life.
Grandpa took a couple of naps throughout the weekend, or should I say, tried, to take naps but that didn't stop Reghan from playing some tricks on him.
Steven and I got a night out while they all snuggled up for movie night.
We all went to our friends Anne and Brian's daughter Bea's 1st birthday party and it was quite the event. While Ashlyn was twirling from the candy colored step to step, Heath and Reghan were flying down the inflatable water slide.
They have a "mother-in-law" house in the back and Ashlyn made herself comfortable leaving her mark with a trail of wet tushy spots throughout their sofa.
Because that wasn't enough, we continued down to Emily and Robert's to help with some packing. After a somewhat emotional visit we lightened it up with a dinner out.
The next day was a lazy day at the house. After swim lessons, Grana and Grandpa took the kids to, dum dum dummm, McDonald's followed by shopping and oh what toys they got. Ashlyn went straight for a Jake spyglass and Reghan found yet another pet doggy to bring home. What I don't think the grandparents expected was how difficult it is to get the toys out of the boxes these days.
But Heath, or should we call him Jedi Heath got not one, but TWO Light Sabers. He's been wanting them for some time now and he leaped into an epic battle with the enemy almost immediately while pirate Ashlyn watched on.
Some relaxing time before they sadly had to pack up to leave. It was a wonderful weekend which we can't wait to have again sometime soon.
