The start to the weekend was a visit to the animal shelter, which we've been to before, only this time we secretly were going to be leaving with a furry critter. There were so many adorable kittens to hold and play but one stood out and before long we were headed home with "Tortilla"
Tortilla has been fantastic. He's playful and very snugly. Has a very loud purr and allows the kids to drag him around like a stuffed toy without a care. We couldn't ask for a better addition to our family.
Sunday was a stepping stone for our 6 year old. It was her first movie with a girlfriend, Armita. Although they really wanted some candy we opted for some good old fashioned popcorn and they were quite happy with that.
While us girls were at the movie, Daddy worked on her cake of request, a carrot cake and as usual it was yummy! And let's not forget about our Christmas tree excursion the week before. Ashlyn dressed herself in preparation (not very Christmasy but take note of Reghan's 'tree skirt' to make up for it) and the three of them found the most hug-able tree to kick off the holiday season.
