The last week of school really belonged to the oldest and youngest. Reghan moving up High School and Ashlyn being promoted up to Middle School leaving Elementary School in our rear view mirror.  Ashlyn's Motion club had their last run with some yummy popsicles for a close out celebration.

Ashlyn also had a number of plays and performances that week that Nonnie and Poppie made it to.  In classic Ashlyn fashion, trying to get her to take a someone calm photo is challenging resulting in this being the best we've got.  If you squint, you can make out Poppie in here.

After Choir performance ice cream celebration at Grahams downtown.
Heath found Ben to hang with while there.
Heath had his end of year concert this week also in which he unconsciously showed off his dancing skills throughout the night.
Reghan had their 8th grade dance and was such a handsome kid, if I can still call them that.  They gathered at their besties house to prep before leaving for the night.
And then the big night, 8th grade promotion.  It was a challenging middle school and they rose the challenge finishing on a high note both academically and socially.

Ashlyn rounded out the year with her end of fifth grade year picnic and recognition ceremony.
Ashlyn loves to be involved and as she was called up to be recognized for the array of clubs she's active in, it was impressive how she is so engaged while keeping her academics high.  She was called up on stage to explain the Service Project her class decided to support and fundraise for.
The next day was the traditional fifth grade "clap off".  In lieu of a promotion ceremony, the fifth grade kids make and decorate hats, walk through the halls of the school one last time while the younger grades cheer them on ultimately walking through the fifth grade wing doors through a parent/guardian/grandparent/sibling tunnel that winds around the school clapping and cheering them on.  It's an energetic and fun way to close out their time in the school.
