A blessing of having slightly older children is that they sleep in a little so that we all can sleep in a little.  Even though, they still have to remain at the top of the stairs till they're allowed to come downstairs.  They're able to sneak a little peak around the corner to see the tip of what Santa brought.

Heath's nice and warm while channeling Chet from Weird Science.
Methodically opening their stocking stuffers.
And realizing the fishing game is a lot harder than they remember.
Still at it.
Ashlyn had her eye on her monster gift for the whole morning and was thrilled when she was finally able to open it.
The carnage of the day.
Each Christmas there's one gift that stands out.  One that's remembered over all other gifts and this year Nicholas Cage on a fluffy blanket graced us with his presence and will be with us for some time.
We remained in our pj's all day, played games, and watched movies.  Above all, it was a lovely day surrounded by family.  Merry Christmas all.
