While cleaning Ashlyn's closet we pulled out my First Communion dress and Ashlyn was able to fit in it and to her delight swirled and twirled.
Heath turned 11 and not only did he celebrate for a night but had celebrations throughout the week. An early impromptu party so he could get his new bike over the weekend to ride while the weather was still nice.Another one, mid-week, on his actual birthday with another awesome gift that he still can't believe he got from his Auntie Jewelz, Glo Fish and associated tank. His tooth randomly fell out one morning.
He had a fun Friday evening with some friends of his which ended with glow sticks, outdoor movies, a sleepover, and a pair of lost shoes.
Our Friday evenings continue at the regular stop of the day, the end of cul-de-sac gathering. Discussions are beginning to turn to what we'll do in winter when it's too cold to be outside and the fire pit doesn't cover it anymore. He had such a fun time with his little celebrations that just kept on coming.
Emily and Robert sent the kids an early Christmas present and they've been used nonstop and surprisingly with no injuries...yet.We've taken advantage of the nice fall days for weekend bike rides and picnics at the river. Before we know it we'll be bundled up for winter but until then we're outside as much as possible.Tuesday and Thursday morning bring a touch of normalcy as the kids get read for their at school days with breakfast, morning discussions, and reading. The Kane County Flea Market was back which called to us. A little lackluster show but Auntie Amy found an object to use as a door stop so it wasn't total flop.Burying those Tulip bulbs for some color in the spring.Even though we're thinking about Spring, we're all about fall. A visit to a local pumpkin patch made for a fun day. Ashlyn was eaten by a pumpkin.Steven and I considered becoming farmers. And the kids discovered their new favorite ride, the Tilt-a-whirl.
Then the quest for the perfect pumpkins.
Speaking of teeth. Ashlyn's quite the sight with most of her front teeth gone save for her two front teeth. She's having as much fun with her new found face as possible before the others grow in.
