Reghan had her holiday show which was very festive in both attire and song.  It was a display of the Chamber Group club she's been active in.
The weekend after we took a surprise trip to the city and the kids came along for the ride while having no idea where the day was taking us.

It was a nice crisp day to walk through the city.
First stop was to see the windows at Macy's (old Marshall Field's).

Followed by a trip to the Christkindlmarket and some shenanigans.  We then walked over to the ice rink to show off our skating skills...or lack there of.

The obligatory family photo in the Bean's reflection.
 Lunch at the Walnut Room.
Final stop of the day was to the Art Institute to visit the Andy Warhol Exhibit.  To our surprise, Heath was thrilled that we were going there and couldn't wait to go to the Thorne Rooms exhibit.  He dropped all sorts of knowledge on us and was wonderful to see all his excitement in going to the museum.
The Warhol exhibit was nicely curated and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.  Afterwards we picked up some dessert on the way to the train and snuggled in with a good movie for some major snuggle time.
