Two weeks into September and it's already been a full month.  For Labor Day we met Auntie Jewlz, Jon, and the 3 A's at the Renaissance fair in Wisconsin and the girls dressed the part.
They were taken back by the amount of people who were in both costume and character.
Ashlyn was one of the most colorful there but found an equally bright personality.
Heath and Jon competed against each other on the Jacobs ladder.  Neither got very far but was worth a good laugh.
And then there was the food.  A lot of food.

The last show of our day was Lynx, the knife swallower and he brought his "A" game.
We spent the night in Lake Geneva before going home the next morning.
And then the best news of the year.  Auntie Jewlz and Jon got ENGAGED!  We were blessed to be invited to celebrate with them right afterwards and they were illuminated.  We're looking forward to an exciting year to come.
Later that night Heath tried to grow taller than Michael so he climbed up on the island to top him.  Well, he couldn't be the only one up there and soon a party pursued from above us all.
Another night we received a call from Michael who offered unlimited game passes at the Main Event.  How could we turn that down?  We were there in minutes and ruled that place.

I think us adults had just as much fun as the kids did.

Closing out the first two weeks of the month was our second annual neighborhood block party.  It rained the night before and the day after but the day of was gorgeous.  On my walk down the driveway the salad I made flipped over off the cooler onto the driveway.  With perfect timing Reghan and Ella walked out of the house and got the honor of cleaning it up.  The weather beautiful that night and the company was even better.
