We just had our bi-yearly vacation and enjoyed the warm waters and summer sun.  To soak up the sun, hang with family and friends, and come back a whole lot tanner than a week prior.  This is the first year Reghan and Heath didn't need a life jacket all the time near the water which was a fun reminder that they're growing up.
We were able to teach the kids the life lesson of listening to warning signs around you, or not.
Thursday brought a break in the heat and with the sun shining was an ideal day to go on a hike.
Our crew made it up to the top and raced back to where Auntie Amy and Poppie were patiently waiting for us.
The house came with plenty of water toys, a floating trampoline, paddleboat, kayaks, and paddleboards.  As always, we took to the larger lake where captain Ashlyn took over the reigns and showed off some skills.
We took full advantage of the all the room we had to spread out.  Even Luna got in on the action.

A little bumpy wave action was needed to loosen up the joints.
While we were being serenaded to the Hamilton soundtrack which has quickly become the soundtrack of the summer for the kids.  If you don't see the video below click on the following link.  Big Mable - July '19

A little lakeside pitstop for a late lunch where, yet again, Ashlyn showed us how much her stomach can ingest.

We had some guests this year who added extra flair to the week.  Jen's boyfriend, Michael, and Julia's boyfriend, Jon.  It was nice to bring them into the craziness that is our family.  We're already discussing the next family vacation in 2121.  If you don't see the video below, click on the following link.  Ozarks picture wall - July '19
