Mother's Day weekend kicked off with an adorable show and tea party with Heath's class.

They'd been practicing for quite some time for it and presented gifts for each of us as we walked in.  After the songs, they served us lemonade and cookies.  Our boy was quite attentive and very happy to have me there.

Afterwards we made our way to Ashlyn's school where we more tea and cookies waiting for us.  Ashlyn happily took care of my portion of the cookies.

But not before she made sure she had the "perfect" outfit on in the morning.

The next morning our ballerina practiced before class and our weekend excursion to Bea's. 

We stayed the night at Anne and Brian's for our yearly Mother's Day weekend outing and the kids had a fun sleep over in their upstairs area.   Ashlyn and Bea wasted no time getting into their pj's and rolling out the sleeping bags.

While the other two created their hideout where all four of them ultimately ended up.

The next morning we awoke to our youngest bright eyed lovely.

Only to rush in to prepare their first breakfast of the morning.

Along our walk to their second breakfast the kids picked for me a beautiful collection of flowers which created the most wonderful bouquet.

Did I say second?  I meant third because there was another breakfast in between while we waited for our table for the actual breakfast.

Afterwards we played at the neighborhood park for a while.

Meanwhile back in Chicago, Nonnie and Poppie were spending Mother's Day with Auntie Jewelz at the ballpark.

The next morning during another breakfast, Heath expressed just how much fun he had and wished me another, unprompted I love you.  It's always such a wonderful way to spend the weekend, with dear friends who might as well be family and my precious children and hubby.
