Our favorite brother and son turned 6 and he started the day out with one of his favorite doughnuts.  (We apologized to his teacher in advance for sending him to school on a sugar high)
Grana + Grandpa came in for the weekend and got thrown into the flurry head on but not before a nice breakfast from the grill.
Grandpa snuck in plenty of naps.
While Grana pulled out some Halloween goodies she brought all the way from NC.
They played a cut throat game of Headbandz.
And spent a night at the movies.
But not before dinner where the excitement was finding a cricket deep in the bricks of the exterior.
Saturday morning was business as usual.  The young girls got inspired after peeking in on the older girls warming up before dance class.
Three generations walking into the ball field.
It was hot hot hot that day but it still didn't stop us cheering on Heath or Grandpa from getting a chili cheese dog for breakfast.
With half an inning left, Auntie Jewelz showed up the girls were all over her.
After the games we got busy preparing for Heath's birthday party the next day.  Grana and Ashlyn were in charge of the TNT.
Auntie Jewelz cut the fam's hair, including Grandpa's.
Then moved onto the "dirt and sand" blocks.

Heath got to open a present early and loved it.
I love early morning snuggle time with my baby.

Heath's Minecraft themed party was a Scooter's Jungle and he had about 33 friends over.  Needless to say it was crrrazy in there but they all had so much fun!

We got Grana in there a few times and Auntie Jewelz  and daddy made their way through the tunnels with ease.

Some air hockey was enjoyed.
We even talked Auntie Jewelz into doing the zip line.  She didn't make it very far but it was THE BEST watching her bite it in bouncy slow motion.
A quick photo opp break.
Ashlyn and I tried to break out.
And a group photo followed by some treats.

After the cake worked the room offering sand blocks to the adults.

Afterwards he got to open his many gifts and each and every one of the were spot on.  It's been a week and he's still working on putting each gift together and the ones that don't require assembly are played with on a daily basis.  Thank you everyone.
There were a few minutes of rest on the sofa afterwards.
Then back to building.

Dinner out followed with some cards for Daddy since it was his birthday as well.
Snuggle time.
Then bedtime while he studied building techniques and forms in his new book.
The next morning Grana and Grandpa had to leave but we'll see them next month for Thanksgiving so it wasn't as hard as other times.
Auntie Jewelz stayed an extra day and Ashlyn's school just happened to be closed.  All Ashlyn wanted to do is go to the nail salon with her Auntie.  She picked out both her colors and Auntie Jewelz and relished the entire experience.

Some more snuggle time.
Reghan's team had a pizza party after practice one night but during the practice, Heath and Ashlyn found plenty to do at the adjacent park.  If you can't see the video below, click on the following link.   What to do while Reghan practices.

Ashlyn's school's halloween party was on Friday night and she was very happy to put her costume on.  Well, part of it.  Heath helped her with her crafts when he could.

Black cupcakes are the best.
As well as conversations with one of her teachers, or should we say, one of her fellow witches.
Then up early and back at it.  Our dancer walking the "balance beam" in a parking lot, our boy trying his hand at catching, and our girl running like the wind.
