Reghan's First grade class performed a recital on various Habitats.  They each had an assigned project of a specific one, Reghan's was "ponds" and the various songs were surrounding each one.  During the Savannah's Lion Hunt song our girl had some individual lines.  Afterwards she was beyond excited to see that both Steven and I were there to spend some time with her (in the middle of the day no-less).

She then got to spend some extra time with her bestie, Sam.

We can't forget that she also moved up another level in swim lessons and is now a Sea Horse.  If you can't see the video below, click on the following link.  Reghan moves up to Seahorse

Saturday brought us to the Getty and the excitement began in the parking garage and continued on the Tram all the way through the grounds.

They each had a map and guided us through many of the exhibits and grounds that they wanted to see.  We were quite impressed with how well they did.

A few stops along the way to rest.

It was a clear day which made it perfect for taking in all of the panoramic views.

Then back to the map for further navigating.  Although we don't particularly think the collections there are all that spectacular, the grounds are quite nice and it was perfect for the kids.  They got to see some beautiful pieces as well as run around a bit outside.

With plenty of hugs along the way.

They were extremely happy when they found the "flower/water maze" as they called it.

Beyond a doubt, Ashlyn's favorite exhibit was of the furniture that she believed was from a princesses castle that she would like to move into one day.

Then there's the hill.  The grassy hill that's perfect for rolling on and running down at excessive speeds.

The rest of the weekend was pretty low key with errands and lot's of playing outside with the neighbors.  A good way to kick off the summer.
