The Christmas season is officially here and as always, it kicked off with Reghan's 7th birthday.  She received so many wonderful cards and gifts from friends and family and we thank each and everyone one of you.  

Saturday kicked off with Reghan's first her first official race at the Santa Monica - Venice Christmas Run and she ruled.  Meanwhile Heath got to show off his new do.  

And they all had a great time on the play grounds.

 

Afterwards we had an impromptu and much overdue lunch with our close friends Emily and Robert who were in town for a quick trip, then back home for our communities annual snow day.  Immediately upon arriving, we lost our kids to their friends so we had plenty of time to catch up with the other parents.  Clearly Heath didn't listen to the "no throwing snowballs" rule.

 

But neither did anyone else listen to the "no throwing snowballs" rule either.

And somehow we were able to catch this, one in a million, action photo of Reghan and her buddies, Cavenaugh and Kendan.

After a some cookies and hot chocolate we visited Santa and Mrs. Claus.  They were more excited to watch from a distance then to actually talk with them.

After a little rest and early dinner, we cleaned up and went to see Catherine, our babysitter's, holiday show.  She's in the chorus at her college and it was the last night of their annual show.  The kids loved the music and were even more ecstatic to see her on stage and during intermission. 

Sunday we awoke early and got our tree.  The rest of the was spent decorating both inside and out.

 

 

Mid-day the kids took a break for swim lessons where Reghan had Happy Birthday sang to her by all the instructors and got a sweet treat at the end.  It was Safety Day so the first half of class they were in the water fully clothed, thus the piles of clothes along side of the pool. In other news, Grandpa has officially been sworn into the political arena.  December 1st he took his oath for his first term.  Way to go Grandpa!
