The days leading up to Easter was just as eventful as the big day itself.  Friday brought us to the La Brea Tar Pits and over to LACMA.  Fun was had by all on the ride down, yes, Ashlyn did that to herself.

We couldn't leave without flattening a penny, compliments of Auntie Katie.
The rare and elusive photo of myself and my kiddies.
Poppie, Amy, and Katie displayed some wicked strength at The Levitated Mass.

The crew and I play peek-a-boo at the lamp posts in front of LACMA.
With a follow up to the famous Pinks hot dogs where even Ashlyn put one down.
Couldn't resist....

Saturday morning we headed for a hike up to Inspiration Point and the kids loved it.  Poppie pushed the stroller while Daddy and Ashlyn hiked in comfort.
Who needs a bathroom when you have a bush.
 Our not-so-little family.
Enjoying the view on the walk down after exploring hidden paths.

Then back to the house for some easter egg dyeing, and baking, while Poppie and Steven worked on the garage door opener.
Then the Easter bunny visited.

 And the Easter egg hunt.
The excavators working through their rock to uncover their hidden fossils.

Editor's tip:  Next time try champagne with a plastic spoon and you might just get hooked, Ashlyn sure did.
