The weekend with Grana and Grandpa was jam packed full of activities, the first of which was a trip to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific.  Our arrival timing was perfect because the first view as we walked in was the scuba divers in the giant tank directly in front of us.  The kids found a good viewing location directly in front of the tank.
Then on to the exhibits.

By far, one of the hottest spots of the day was the shark tank where they could pet the sharks.  Especially Reghan; she could've stayed there all day.
Even Grandpa joined in.
Our penguins on parade.
Heath and Ashlyn were more drawn to the play area next to the shark tank then anything.

After more fish and anenome touching, one bloody nose, a purse lost and then found, it was a quiet drive home.
The next day the boys went off for a round of golf while we headed to a local park to visit the animals,
go on a hike to the top of the hill to see the historic house at the top,
check out the view from the top and leave it to Reghan to find a caterpillar that she named Coco,
then off to another park for a picnic and a little more play, all before nap time.
Immediately following nap time we headed to the fish store so we could pick out our newest family edition, Purplicious.
Because we didn't run Grana and Grandpa into the ground enough the first two days, Sunday we got started bright and early on moving a number of plants and removing a tree from our front yard.  The fact that we haven't "un-winterized" the patio yet didn't stop Grana and Steven from taking a well deserved rest on the chairs and even without their cushions they settled right in while admiring their handy work on the slope.
