20 year's later and they'll most likely be assuming the same position.
Ashlyn was Christened in Illinois over Memorial Day weekend and Nonnie and Poppie graciously hosted the after celebration at their house.  They picked the kids up and spent some 'one on one' time with them while Steven and I played in Chicago prior to heading down to their house.  Steven's family began to roll in on Friday and Uncle Jon and Auntie Katie wasted no time jumping in to help in the kitchen.
Prime Aunt and Uncle role models shined over the course of the weekend.

...and then came the merry-go-round crash.  Good thing there was some water handy to wash the dirt and rocks from his mouth.
Enjoying the breeze while riding home in the back of Poppies truck.
The main attraction of the weekend; Ashlyn's christening.  Once her primping was complete and some steam worn off, it was time to leave for the church.

Father Pat (a So Cal native) performed the christening with Auntie Amy standing as her Godmother and Uncle Chris and Uncle Jon as her Godfathers.  Heath certainly did his best to get as much attention as possible during the service but in Ashlyn's great style, she just sat back and enjoyed the show.
Afterwards, family and friends joined us at Nonnie and Poppie's for a fabulous shrimp and crab boil.  The neighbors trampoline got plenty of use with Reghan and her cousin Samantha spending a big part of the day there.
Enjoying some bare bottomed sun bathing before we sadly had to say, "till next time."
