As we spend the week in NC for Thanksgiving, the first event to kick if off was Ian's Christening.  Ian was donning a baptismal gown created from Joy's wedding dress and he looked quite handsome in it.  Of course it's difficult to capture the entire family but shown are the proud parents, Uncle John, Steven and a snippet of Grana and Aunt Cha Cha along with the little man of the day and Ashlyn.

Gramps held on tight to Ashlyn on the walk into the post Christening brunch and Chris and Joys.

 

The two youngest cousins finally got to meet and while Ashlyn couldn't quite keep up with Ian, she sure tried.

The next morning started off with a hike through the woods to the GG's.  Reghan and Heath each had a pail to collect items along the way.  From the get go Reghan began her acorn collection while Heath soon discovered sappy pine cones.

Hey...what's that living in the dried out mossy tree trunk?

 Ashlyn was giddy with the fresh mountain air.
