It now feels like summer with lot's of time being spent outside and good times with the kids and friends. Father's day was a definitely daddy geared with a day spent at the Thousand Oaks "Touch a Truck" festival. They had everything from police boats, to K9 patrol, a helicopter landing, fire trucks, back hoe's, well, you get the idea - anything big, loud, and vehicles that kids want to climb all over and play in were there. Reghan got to take a boat for a 'ride.
The kids loved the dump truck dropping hundreds of beach balls, only to pick them up and throw them back in to have them dumped on them again. They wouldn't stay out of the Humvee.
Time to put these two to work!
Great fun was had at Lake Mission Viejo. Reghan was convinced that the fishies were nibbling at her toes.
Chasing the geese at the lake after her afternoon of swimming. Poor Mannix the cat, his cat toy was used as her whip for the day.
Play time with Anne and Brian and the park accompanied by a picnic of yummy types of peanut butter mini sandwiches. Can't get better than that.
Except for trying to walk Wrigley...or was Wrigley walking them?
Ashlyn got to hang with Max, Meg and Peter's new little bundle who right now is about twice her age - and about twice her size by the looks of those cheeks.
Capping off the past couple of weeks with a bbq with some of our dear friends. It was a hot hot day so there were lots of water being tossed around in one way or another. Brian was on water balloon detail. (500 of them!)
There wasn't a lack of hands to hold Ashlyn. Winston's got lot's of practice given that him and Jenn just had little Greyson who also is about twice Ashlyn's age at this point.
Speaking of Greyson, he had a nice swing on the set.
All the running around made the kiddies huuungry. They even got their own make shift kiddie table to eat at.And Brian was still at it with the water balloons.
At the days end it was a family affair to give Ashlyn a bath. Reghan and Heath are very helpful at bathtime.
